I’m Nia, long-island American, Baldwin stan and that kid in high school who’d remind the teacher we had homework due because I finished it a week in advance. I have a background in writing social justice journalism and poetry, as well as editing, proofreading, and marketing within the publishing industry. I have publishing experience as an intern with the renowned nonprofit press BOA Editions, and other than BOA, I’ve worked positions for the litmags Fields and Winter Tangerine.

My favorite poetry book at the moment is either Chen Chen’s,”When I Grow Up I Want to Be a List of Further Possibilities,” and my other favorite all-time authors and poets are Audre Lorde, Anne Sexton, and Haruki Murakami.

When I’m not reading or writing, I spend copious amounts of time fighting with people on Twitter about capitalism and the plague that is the new trend of self-publishing or rewatching my favorite horror movies. You can find me on Twitter at the username nee_yahh.
